Mrs. Harriman has been a member of the Florida
Bar and a practicing attorney since 1996, with the primary focus
of her practice for the past ten years being Marital and Family
Law. Mrs. Harriman has handled numerous family law matters in
her years of experience including all manner of divorce, custody,
child support, alimony, paternity, and modification actions.
Mrs.
Harriman is a native Floridian who graduated magna cum laude
with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of West Florida in
1992, and graduated with Dean’s List Honors with a Juris
Doctorate from the University of Florida, Levin College of Law
in 1996.
Mrs. Harriman is a member of the Florida Family Law
Rules Committee, Florida Bar Family Law Section, Hillsborough
County Bar Association, and past member of the Family Law Inns
of Court, Tampa. Mrs. Harriman has also served as a volunteer
lawyer assisting victims of domestic violence and indigent litigants
in divorce cases. Prior to working in private practice, Mrs.
Harriman worked as a staff attorney for the Seminole County Bar
Association Legal Aid Society, Assistant Public Defender for
the Florida Fifth Judicial Circuit, and Judicial Law clerk for
Florida First Judicial Circuit in Florida.
As a wife and mother
of two children, Mrs. Harriman understands that family law matters
encompass not only issues related to division of assets and financial
support for the family, but also the impact of ending a marriage
or relationship and how these changes can affect the entire family,
including the children. Mrs. Harriman’s objective in family
law cases is first to attempt an amicable and swift resolution
through mediation or other negotiation. Unfortunately not all
matters can be settled. When a case calls for aggressive representation
in court, Mrs. Harriman has the experience and knowledge necessary
to assist clients throughout the litigation process. |
